10 Sep A Day In The Life Of Us
” Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it.”
Ferris Bueller is a cult classic for a reason, just like the reason why this quote became famous. Life can move so incredibly fast that sometimes it disappears in the blink of an eye. Think about today. How quickly did you move through breakfast, onto the gym, onto to meeting up with your friends? Think about this week. It’s Saturday already, but didn’t it feel like Monday was only yesterday? How about on a grander scale. Think about this year. What have you been through, accomplished, loved, lost in the last nine months? There are only a few big moments in our life. The big big ones. The life changing ones. The momentous ones. That’s why when they occur, it’s nice to slow everything down and hold onto what is happening in that moment for as long as you possibly can. Meeting the love of your life is a life changing thing. When you finally meet that person that you never want to let go of, sometimes its nice to pause reflect on what got you to there. The events, the adventures, the little things that made you say yes. And that’s exactly what Mattie and Nick did for their engagement photos. A blissful pause with a day in the life of ‘us’.
In the beginning, after a series of radical events, these two woke up at the same time and both had a desire to visit their favourite coffee shop. A coffee shop which of course just happen to be the same one. From there, it was true love at first sight. A first look, a first chat, and a first cup of coffee and the rest as they say, was history. Mattie and Nick have been inseparable ever since with a relationship that is full of life and love. The way they care about each other and everyone around them is inspiring. Meeting up with Sarah Wilbanks of Lanterns & Feathers Photography, they wanted to begin their engagement session where it all began. Having a joyful and playful session at their favourite coffee shop, they spent of the rest of the day doing the things they loved. Spending time, and cooking together in their furture home with their next adventure will start.
